Website design

Small business website design that does one job well.

A referral checks your website before calling. A homeowner wants to know whether you cover their area. A prospective client needs a reason to trust you. Your website should answer those questions and make contacting you easy.

The short version

We plan, write and build small business websites around the decisions your customers need to make. The free Visibility Score comes first. You receive priorities, then an agreed scope and fixed quote for the work your business needs.

What a useful business website needs to answer

What do you do, who is it for, and what should someone do next? Those answers belong near the top of the page. Clear service information, genuine proof and a working contact route help a visitor decide whether to inquire.

For a practice or professional firm

A law office, accountant or consultant needs to explain its work without making the reader decode industry language. Service pages, accurate team information and a clear consultation process can make a referral easier to act on. See our approach for professional services.

For a contractor or home service business

A homeowner needs your service area, the type of work you accept and a straightforward way to request an estimate. Real project photos and an explanation of what happens after the inquiry help remove uncertainty. Read the home services approach.

Should you repair your website or rebuild it?

Keep a website that works. If the layout is sound, clearer copy, a repaired form or better service pages may be enough. A rebuild makes more sense when mobile use, maintenance or the structure gets in the way of essential improvements.

We review the existing pages and contact journey before recommending either. We also identify old URLs that need redirects, useful content worth retaining and connections that must survive the change.

Design follows the message

We agree on the audience, services and next action before writing and designing. Then we connect the site to the relevant profiles, booking or contact tools and check the journey on a phone. Scope and integrations are agreed before work starts.

What’s included

Everything in a website build.

This is what ships. Not a starting point that gets quoted upward once you are committed.

  • Strategy first, in week oneBefore anything is designed: who buys from you, what they need to see, what your competitors show them, and what the site has to say to win. Delivered as a written brief you sign off on.
  • Pages shaped around your servicesA clear home, services, about and contact structure, with additional detail where customers need it. The page list is agreed in your scope.
  • Every word written by usIn your voice, in your language. English, French, Spanish or Kreyòl. You get a draft to react to. You review the wording for accuracy before it goes live.
  • Built mobile-first, and fastHand-written, no page builder. Performance and contact paths are checked on mobile. Loading speed varies with the page, device and connection; it is measured rather than assumed.
  • Booking or contact that actually worksYour calendar connected, or WhatsApp click-to-chat, or a form that reaches you reliably. Tested on a real phone before launch, not assumed.
  • The technical setup nobody seesTitles and descriptions written for search, structured data, a sitemap, SSL, redirects from replaced pages to preserve useful paths. Search positions can change after a redesign.
  • Connected to your Google Business ProfileFor an eligible business, the site and profile use accurate business details and a useful destination link. Online-only businesses need a different search approach.
  • Handover and trainingYou own the domain, the hosting account, and every login. A short call at the end showing you how to change your hours, prices and photos yourself.

What it costs

One price, agreed before we start.

Your quote reflects the pages, content and connections your business needs. Website work can sit within the 45-day foundation; the audit decides what else belongs in the scope.

The Storefront Launch One fixed price

Local business · agreed after your free audit.

The Authority Launch One fixed price

Coach or consultant · agreed after your free audit.

See every deliverable

Authority and Storefront describe different customer journeys. Your scope is tailored after the audit. If a website repair is enough, we can focus the remaining work on the gaps in your search visibility, social presence or contact journey.

Questions

Questions about the website itself.

How many pages do I need?

Enough to explain your services clearly and give visitors a useful next step. We agree the page list after the audit. A new service page should answer a distinct customer question, rather than repeat another page for a different keyword.

Do I own the website?

Yes. The domain, hosting account and logins belong to you. Your scope explains handover, ongoing costs and any third-party tools, so you know what you are responsible for after launch.

Can I update it myself?

We agree which updates you need to make, such as hours, prices or photos, and cover the process at handover. Larger structural changes and ongoing support are discussed separately.

What if I already have a website?

We audit it first. If the existing site is worth keeping, the recommendation may be better copy, repaired contact paths or a few useful pages. A redesign is recommended only when the current structure gets in the way.

Let’s look at what you have now.
